The I Transnational Conference " Clusters, clusters policies and innovation networks in Europe" took place the last 11th-12th March at Santiago de Compostela
IGAPE, as lead partner, wellcame more than a thousand people from five european regions which are IGAPE partners in ATCLUSTERS project
After the official openning by Regional Ministry of Economy and during two days the atendees got first hand information from every level, communitary ( European Commision, Athlantic Area Managing Authority or European Cluster Policy Group), national (Ministry of Industry) or regional (See speakers CVs). Regarding this, the Conference was attended by representatives from Galicia, North of Portugal, Asturias, Cantabria, Bretagne, South West of Ireland, Basque Country, Lower Austria, North-Rhine-Westphalia among others.
Beside the institutional speakers were representatives from several networks such as: CLUNET, ERRIN, European Cluster Alliance, European Cluster Observatory or INTERCLUSTER.
Thirdly, there was time to present individual cluster. A broad range of them showed their experiencies and good practices in order to share them with the attendance.
In parallel, it was mannaged a tailor-made agenda for the clusters. More than twenty one-to-one meetings took place between clusters from different regions arising in situ collaboration projects. The Conference was working as meeting point and spawned the seed to strenghthen and develope the transnational cooperation.
